First TV show I had self-insertion fantasies about:
Fandom is not just TV shows, so screw that, cause mine was Peter Pan, the book. I mean, seriously, come ON, the dude can FLY. FLY. And there are mermaids. I mostly just wanted to BE Peter. Okay, I went through a Tiger Lily phase as well, and of course I wanted to be a mermaid, because who doesn't?
First fandom in which I interacted (online and in person) with other fans:
I mostly lurked in X-Files fandom eons and eons ago, on the AOL boards. YES. AOL. I didn't properly interact until Buffy - also on the AOL boards - and boy howdy, did I EVER interact. I meta-ed my ASS off. Ah, good times, good times.
Pairing in the first slash fanfiction I read:
Um, honestly? It was non-con in a deeply disturbing LOTR Aragorn-takes-the-Ring AU, Boromir/Pippin, I think. Possibly Merry. It wasn't a very long or explicit scene,not the main point of the fic at all. And it was actually a fan-fucking-tastic, creepy-ass fic. I dunno if it's still at the Pit or not.

First RPS/RPF I read:
I haven't ever read any RPS. OH WAIT of course I have, but it was the kind of RPS that you write on the back of tithing envelopes in church because you are bored and you and your friends are writing each other stories. Everyone did that, right?
It was most likely My Friend/Han Solo or Luke Skywalker. That friend introduced me to Star Wars, and we went to town on the technically RPS Mary Sue self-inserts.
First fanfiction I read that made me think, YES, this is exactly the kind of fanfiction I'd like to write...
AHAHAHAHAHAHA OF COURSE it was that deeply disturbing LOTR Aragorn-takes-the-Ring AU HAVE YOU MET ME? That was actually the first proper fanfic I ever read, because I was under the impression that ALL fanfic was horrible Mary Sue and steered clear at all costs. I read that fic, and went, "OH FUCK YEAH WE CAN DO SHIT LIKE THIS? WHOOO!" *cue screwing over Middle Earth and realms beyond*
I don't remember what made me go looking for fic, though.
First OTP:
To no-one's surprise, Theodred/Boromir. I don't really OTP in the "OMG THEY CAN BE WITH NO OTHER PEOPLE" sense, though - it's more that one pairing ends up making more sense to me than the others.
First RPS/RPF OTP:
First fannish friend I met in person:
celandineb - she lives fairly close to me, and we had lunch at a little cafe. I was so very, very nervous - I am absolute shit with new people - but it went very well!
First character I formally roleplayed:
Adanadae Moonsilver, a neutral elven rogue, because that's what I play, neutral elven or half-elven rogues. She had an attitude problem, a huge tattoo winding around one arm, around her waist and over her back, and down the other leg, and a penchant for wandering off and causing trouble. Favourite quote from her: "I didn't do anything...but we should go." Our DM [who is still our DM, BTW] drew me a fantastic picture of her which is actually lying on a shelf right this second, waiting for me to finally stick it in a frame after like 15 years.
Currently I'm playing a half-elven rogue whose name is Eiliant Tinu Staveacre[Rainbow Star, yes indeed], and she is a sparkly pampered princess who tells everyone that she is an orphan worthy of Dickens, dresses like Stephenie Myers threw up all over her closet, flirts with everyone, and lies lies lies about her skill set. She's awesome.
