Here I am again, pretending like I don't have the blackest thumb in all of creation:

Mostly these are things I planted today.

I think these are coleus, but as I lost the tag, I do not know for certain. There is a lot of green along the front of my house, and I needed some colour. If they take, I'll get some more. And that is The Frog, which has been around this house as long as I can remember. He has no name, which I find odd, since as a child I named EVERYTHING and still name cars even now. I had to move him to a spot where he is in far less danger of getting accidentally smashed.

Eeeeeeeeeeee, elephant ear! My grandma had TONS of these when I was little, so I thought I'd give them a shot, cause I know they'll grow.

This is my hydrangea. It's been there maybe three years, it's putting up flowers and seems happy as a little lark - except for the fact that the little punk won't grow TALLER. It's spread out some, but it REFUSES to go upwards. What the HELL, MAN? Anyone know how I can make it go UP?

Here is the aforementioned ex-fish pond, full of six wheelbarrows of dirt, and newly-added herbs [cilantro, sweet basil, dill] + purpley things that are not coleus but I forget what they are. WILL THEY GROW OR DIE? WHO KNOWS? I think I'm going to paint the brick around the edges cause I can. On the edge there is a huge chuck of volcanic glass that I found buried about three feet down; I remember my grandma having several pieces, but I couldn't tell you why or how this one got buried.

These are wild roses. There was a nicely-growing bush there once upon a time, complete with blooms and everything, until someone of the paternal variety just HAD to cut down a tree, snap the fence, and kill the poor little rose bush. As nature reigns supreme, it has started growing back! I also transplanted a vine that was growing elsewhere; those poles are a half-assed trellis, and I've got them tied up in hopes that they will climb. Maybe one day I'll get a real trellis. plz to ignore the white-trashness of the background

This is some purple thing I thought was pretty, and its tag gives me hope that it will grow there. I've been unsuccessful so far getting ANYTHING to take root in that spot. Oh, and also some of those not-coleus thingies.

And we will end with your yearly look at the EVILEST FUCKING TREE IN THE HISTORY OF TREES. I would LOVE to get rid of it, but having nice polite trees cut down completely is horrifically expensive; I can only image what they would charge for EVIL TREESONIFIED.

picspam, this tree will eat your soul, i hate yardwork
