I dunno, I never tried. I never have had need to NOT use the installation disk for any device.

BUT I found it, yay!!

Have you attempted attaching your camera to the computer yet? Sometimes Windows or Mac operating systems come prepackaged with software that will allow you to transfer photos from your camera to the harddrive.

Actually, that's how I do it on my MacBook - through iPhoto rather than through the camera's software.

I did find the disk, but I had no idea you could try it that way. TECHNOLOGY IS MAGIC. :)
