ciceqi retells the entire Saiyuki manga in a series of linked fairytale drabbles referencing everything "Tam Lin" to The Princess Bride, all of them well-written and clever and some of them jaw-droppingly so.
Read them in order. They work as a single story that way, and also then you can stop when they start getting into vague spoilers for bits you may not have read yet.
