Naruto. Not a Grain of Sand. Huge spoilers through volume 16 (aftermath of chuunin exams)

Author's note: Posting from Venice, Italy. Whee, I have wireless!

I had meant to use the sleep deprivation of a long flight to inspire me to write about a certain insomniac character. However, sleep deprivation is not conducive to writing, and the story ended up being written in Rome, and about another aspect of travel.

Everything had changed since Konoha )

Sand sibling fic!

This is lovely. I especially liked: Kankurou looked so fierce in his catsuit and face paint that it even startled Temari when he appeared with his face bare and cheerful, and his hair all fluffy.

(I distinctly remember being so startled the first time I saw Kankurou without his headgear in the manga.)

Me too! Clearly that was an indelible moment for... well, at least two of us. I remember thinking, "Good Lord, he looks so... nice! And kind of cute! But in a bizarrely ordinary, boy-next-door way!"

Make it four :p! I was really surprised and actually I didn't recognized him at first *-*. But, yeah, the Sand Siblings are definitely all pretty pretty ^^.

Wow, really wonderful! I love the Sand siblings, and I love the way you categorize the two villages. Very nicely done.

Thank you! I love the Sand siblings too, of course. I kind of want to look for fic about them, but I'm also kind of scared I'll run into incest or something that I equally don't want to read.

Thanks, and yes, it was just for you. ;)

I am contemplating a companion piece from Kankurou's POV.

This was really nice, a good, realistic perspective from the sand sibs. I really enjoyed this. ^^
