weekend
Friday we went out to Nibble Nook with my parents. We kept meaning to get together with them since labor day, but our schedules have been crazy. I never know what time I'll be home each day. Some days it is 5:30 and some days it is 7:00.
Saturday was very dreary. We decided to stay home, watch lots of Discovery Channel, and do laundry.
Sunday we went to EL to work on the house. I had to install a hand rail on the deck. Jaime did some cleaning inside. When we got home I cut the lawn using my new (3+ week old) tractor. It worked pretty well. I need to learn the best driving patterns to be more efficient. I didn't roll it into the river. :) I did almost get stuck in one spot. I was on the hill and hit a sandy spot. Luckily I was able to wiggle out of it.
The EL house stuff is going... ok. The biggest surprise with it all has been the roof. Being only about 8 or 9 years old, we were surprised that the shingles needed to be replaced. We got a second opinion and he agreed. We're getting a 3rd opinion, provided the weather clears enough for them to get out there. So we're still trying to figure out finances, conditions, etc. We're both very, very grateful for a potential sale. Still, it is stressful and we're getting beat up a bit financially. Oh well. There are a million worse things that can happen in life and I remind myself of that every day.
