Graduation!
Ahh, the great day finally arrived.
Well, I must admit I was a lot happier going to my graduation knowing I'd gotten a 1st, Still I'm very surprised Salford managed to get the marks sent out ahead of time, considering their idea of good feedback is to say, "this could be improved upon" from some one that they claim was your tutor for the last year when in actuality you've never heard of them.
Anyway, we got down to Manchester in plenty of time, arsed about for a bit and then went to get all the paperwork, oh so much paperwork and photos sorted out. Honestly, even when your leaving the university still try and squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze every little last penny out of your pocket, by making you pay for ridiculous amounts of pictures of all different sizes. Oh also, for those of you who haven't graduated yet, those robes weigh a ton and their incredibly hot. My advice if possible is to quietly slip out of your smart travelling clothes and just go nude to the ceremony making sure of course the robe doesn't flap open. Graduation itself was really erm..........fast, I was only on the stage for about 2 seconds and then off to collect my certificate from some one else, they didn't even announce our grades the buggers lol.
What they did make sure to point out however is that the university of Salford needed our continuing support in the form of donations.........bla bla bla bla and maybe we would consider helping those not fortunate enough to have graduated yet. Hmmmmmm, have they taken a look at their university recently?
Anyway, all in all a very good, very hot, very sticky but very satisfying and fun day, There may be embarrassing photos later when I get them back of a very Sith lord type Eddi in billowing robes, though thankfully not nude.
