OK, for those of you who are interested here are a few of the reasons I have been absent for the past month or so
1. There have been two major hurricanes along the gulf coast. We were spared the brunt force from both of them thank goodness but still they impacted us.
2.I was blessed with another grandchild during hurricane Katrina. My daughter was on her way back home to Oklahoma and they did not make it. She had her baby in an ambulance while transferring from one hospital to another. They are all fine, safe and healthy.
3. My job has finally picked up and we are actually filling some orders and working while we are there. I have even been asked to come in to work overtime and I am on salary. Go figure.
4. My wife's condition has seemed to steadily deteriorate during the last two weeks or so. We went to the emergency room today and they finally discovered she has meningitis. It only took them a couple of weeks of agony to trace it down. Of course they had to put the big needle in the spine to uncover it. They are starting treatment and running tests to determine if it is viral or bacterial (whether it is contagious or not).
I have missed all of you terribly and hopefully I will have an opportunity to be on more often soon. I still try to come on and catch up on LJ but I have been sorely lacking even in that department.
