(no subject)
Just a quick update!
First off, last Thursday and Friday were incredible! Thursday, my roommate went somewhere and I was all alone in my room and I ate RAMEN! I don't think anyone can understand how incredibly peaceful it was just to be sitting in my room all alone with my headphones on and my nice hot ramen. It was great. Then Friday, I had to run all over the place in the morning between and after classes, but I went down a path by the library and it was amazing. The leaves all falling down and whatnot looked really beautiful and in that moment I felt really happy that I wound up at NIU. And then, of course, Cheryl came to visit! Cheryl, Cary, and later Marie, and I were at Mango's (the local ice cream/smoothie place) and we just overall had fun! It was great to actually do something outside of homework!
Since I'm going to be staying here for two weeks in succession (I know that's just HORRIBLE isn't it)
I brought a bunch of relaxing things to do. Sadly, one of those things failed to last more than a day... and that was the wonderful Ender's Game... I read two chapters last night, got home from class this morning, and read for another 7 hours (shut up I'm slow) and finished it! That book really is fascinating. But I also brought three Zelda game boy games that I was dearly in love with a long time ago. So I have fun now!
Anime update:
- Lizzie! Samurai 7 kicks ass! In episode 4 you can see my favorite samurai "Kyuso" (he reminds me a lot of Spike cause of the hair and how it's just wild)
- If anyone ever has the chance to watch Gilgamesh... DO IT! Ignore the art style if it bothers you that much, the story/plot is phenomenal, and to me at least, the art is very beautiful and creepy (part of show to be creepy)!
