Edmund has decided to lay down under a shady tree outside. He's more awake than alseep but his eyes are closed and he looks very relaxed with his arms and his hands up behind his head.

Katharine was on the other side of the tree with a book of poetry, but she's finished. She passes him as she goes to return it to the Mansion library.

He opens one eye as a darker shadow moves over him. "Hello there."

"Hello. Are you enjoying yourself?"

[edmundpevensie]

"Not particularly. There isn't a lot to do... What are you reading?" He notices her book and sits up.

"Some old folk ballads. I love poetry."

[edmundpevensie]

"Oh? It can be alright sometimes." He shrugs. "Though a bit stuffy something too. Or mushy..." he grins slightly.

She sits down. "You sound like my brother Mark. Or maybe Jane."

[edmundpevensie]

He chuckles. "Is that good or bad?"

[poetickatharine]

"Only that you have similiar opinions on poetry. Jane once said when we were children walking home from the library that if I didn't stop reading Evangeline out loud she'd scream and fall over dead."

"Well, you do have to admit that some of it is right boring."

[poetickatharine]

"I'll admit that."

[edmundpevensie]

"Not that it's all bad.. Oh, by the way, I'm Edmund," he smiles.

[poetickatharine]

"Not all of it. I'm Katharine." She smiles back.

[edmundpevensie]

"Nice to meet you, Katherine."

[poetickatharine]

"Nice to meet you, too."

[edmundpevensie]

"Do you like doing other things besides read poetry?"
