Journey though the harsh snow ... or something like that
I felt this was interesting enough to post on here, and gives me something to do to ... somewhat calm my nerves because hey I don't have too much luck on my end. Anyway today was interesting and I actually got cold and wanted to warm up kinda a first in a long time.
For starters I actually slept in today woke up at 8, for those of you that sleep past 12 I wish my body would let me do that but it don't, anyway I had to get ready to head out to check out this collage of some sort, and since I knew it was far away I asked my dad if he could at least drop me off at the place, since I wake up to see no snow on the ground, after the stories my dad told the day before on how it will be 12 inches today. Well as usual he still said no because the weather will be bad or at least about to start, so ignoring him I went and go the info on-line for public transportation, and seeing it was just two bus rides and a train ride I figured I though 'Hey it seems very simple' since I know the routes, I know poor gullible me. As the info said that if I left at 9:20 and catch the 9:30 bus I will be right on schedule and just getting the different routes that will get me to the school by 11 in which my meeting was set, in the back of my mind I didn't count the weather, silly me I know...
So I got the bus earlier than the schedule time so I figured ha I'll make it in no time, so instead of taking the bus to the blue like like the directions told me to I figured I take the orange like and transfur to the blue line. That kinda worked although I missed the first blue line train so had to catch the next one I finally made it to forest park now waiting for the bus, its 10:45 now so I'm hoping the next bus will be here soon, when 10 minutes passed I started to look around for a bus schedule when I found it I saw the next bus won't be here till ... 12!! Great huh so now I have to wait for another hour, and I'm starting to get hungry and have no money on me, not to mention I'm in debt for 45 dollars in my bank so I really have no money. During that time I got a call from a thing I signed up for to make easy money within a few months, so I'm thinking something to do to passed the time, after I got off the phone with her I called the school to tell them I'm going to be late. Looking at my watch I see its only been 30 minutes later, so I went to reading my book. Finally the bus got here and the snow is now a few inches and my resistance to cold is slowly starting to break with my paws like usual, relaxing a little that I'm on the bus thats warm and to make things a little odd we have a perky bus driver that zipped me up saying its a little chilly outside. So when I talked to the driver asking how far the place I needed to go of course they say it isn't that far and that if I decided to walk earlier she would of been glad to pick me up from the expressway , which on that note meant that I had a long way to walk with cars that might hit me, what fun!! After a 5 min. ride we finally made it to the first stop, and me not knowing the first thing about getting there I talked to the little off bus driver again. So I didn't fully know where to go so she figured I was crazy that I didn't know where I was going, then after I gave the directions off the info I put on my phone she started explaining where I was suppose to go, when my phone ring, so doing the normal thing and answer it. She goes off saying that she is trying to explaining where I'm to be going and I get on the phone so she says 'In that case I don't want to talk to you anymore get lost for all I care' I found it amusing so I laughed at her, this is how I deal with difficult people.
She ended up helping me out and I get off at the right stop thankfully and then I get into a building that I think was the one I suppose to be going into, it was the brown one after all from what they said. So I started to ask around on where I'm suppose to be going, asking for the suit 130 and everyone that works in the building didn't know where to go or pointed me to the reception desk that no one is at so I'm walking around there for 10 min. till I found a person smart enough to know what there talking about. I finally make it into the place, the orientation went on smoothly and I'm looking forward to learning from them, they where even nice to check when the next bus leave and pointed me in the right direction to get home. So they send me off happy with hot coco and lots of tea bags that I stuffed in my pocket, I know I don't drink that much tea but it don't hurt to try it :p
So walking down the ramp with hot coco in my paws and trying not to slip down it and a 5 min trek to the mall I now wait for the next bus, after about 10 min a bus shows up and people leaves so I'm looking for a certain bus, so after a few bus' pass I go and ask one of the bus drivers which bus goes back to the train station, and she tells me that bus just left!! So now I'm pissed and and getting cold, so i called the public transportation assistance hot-line and waited another five minutes just for them to answer when they finally got there the bus I was looking for finally came so mad at the bus I just hung up without saying bye, I know thats rude but I didn't want to say something I regret. So the route home was fairly decent . ended up catching the express bus to get half way to my place so I ended up walking a few blocks to get home or run slipping on he wet mushy snow/slush and getting colder, so now I'm home and with my luck not ending up sick as usual.
So that was my day, I'm tired and slightly mad, but if it all goes well I'll be in school and working towards getting a better job so I don't end up at places like Wal-Mart, now if I can only come up with a car to get out there for school when I do get accepted >.>....
