You have Done Things! They sound like (mostly?) good Things! So yay! What kind of certificate program is it for? And where in Virginia? I've got friends in South Carolina. Which isn't the same state, but, uh. You know what I'm going to give that up and just go stare at the wall again, it's safer that way.
They are indeed good things. :) It's a grad certificate in composition studies--my MA work was all lit-based, and nowadays a lot of CCs are looking more for people with a rhet/comp background than a lit background. And it's in Norfolk, which is rather far away from South Carolina, I think.
And how are things going with you? Still busy like a busy thing?
Yay for good things! :D That sounds interesting, I didn't realize that programs like that were readily available (and I guess I should say... reputable? Maybe?) And yes, Norfolk is quite a ways away, if I remember my Geography correctly. Sorry, I'm more tired than I thought I was, apparently...
I'm doing fairly well. :) Less than three and a half months and I'll be heading back to the States. I finally got the first chapter of my dissertation back from Steve, which only took four months oh good. I haven't looked at it yet, but I just got it on Sunday and if he can take four months I can take a week or so, I do think.
I will be posting a rambly update here soon, I swear. I just have to get up the gumption to actually do it. Tomorrow night, maybe. We'll see. XD
They're really not all that readily available--I only found out about this one because I had an interview with the campus, and I haven't heard of any others. And the reputable thing is totally a concern, especially 'cause it's all online, but considering that it's IU, I feel pretty safe. (In-state tuition: for the... very small amount of win?)

Because he's Steve. No seriously, that's how he works. And then he sends it back and it looks like Word had a lung collapse and coughed bloody foam all over it. It's just red everywhere. And to be fair he has a lot of good points in the Discussion section because I was forcing that like crazy because I just wanted to get it finished and it's crappy as hell. But still. XD I'll fix it later. I worked on it some today but I just got too depressed. XD
