For someone who operates at night, she's astonishingly fond of the daytime - or maybe it's not so astonishing. It's always something of a fight to see who'll get the comfy spot to the left of the sofa at precisely 2:34 on a sundrenched afternoon, and though she'd never abuse her darlings, she's not above distracting them with catnip for the chance to sprawl out on the carpet and doze off with brightness burning behind her eyelids.

Later, when night falls, she keeps the memory of sunshine beneath her skin, and laughs a little sadly to see the darkness under his. There are many reasons he'll never really be willing or able to catch her, but this is the most bittersweet, and maybe, someday, she'll coax him out into the sunlight, and teach him how to smile.
