Love

Card #6 is interesting. It is tradtionally called The Lovers, but I agree with aeclectic tarot that it should be called Love. The Fool is going along his path when he meets someone who draws him and seems to complete him. The catch is he will have to change as he merges into another, and his path will be altered eventually. The two may not walk on the same path. It will probably be negotiated, or the relationship will end once a crossroads is met. Sometimes, a soulmate may be found who will walk on the same path. The Rider-Waite deck shows an Adam and Eve in the garden which I think throws me off. Sure, it portends a new history and a beginning in a paradise, but but the Garden has too much loaded religious baggage.
The querent is a on a path and love may call. Will he alter his course, find a soulmate going in the same direction or will he say no and sail on as two ships passing in the night.
I'm working to fulfill the next quiz. I'm gaining wind in my sails as I study the tarot ony by one. The nre school year has started well for the kids and Jane is doing better and catching the bus as Sam is there. He has matured and wishes to play the role of big brother.
I was invited to be friends on Facebook with Stan K. from my old hometown. I've been out of orbit with those I grew up with and this pulled me back in. He was a kind soul and could make people laugh. We took German together, I believe. He is married with two children outside of Atlanta. Most of my hometown associates moved on to new geographical areas. Those with a college education had the means. The hometown was economically in decline, so many had to emigrate. It is healing to reconnect.
