Well, such a lot to comment on!
Glad to hear you are enjoying being an Englishman in your own castle, and a very nice castle it is too. Be sure to have cocktails on the patio on friday nights in memoriam of us : )

Regards the garden Teresa unkindly asked whether you knew that weeds could flower too! I don't know how you are going to keep 44 or so peppers but there shouldn't be a shortage of pots - the trick will be to get some sort of useful fruit (if that is the word) from them before Autumn comes, and given the lack of light in the patio Autumn comes sooner than you might think. Still if it gets you out in that lovely space, being all green fingered then it must be good.

Regards the test - I am gobsmacked to hear Harmy is even in contention for the Ashes, sure the Baggy Greens would be delighted at the prospect of coming over to bat against him! I have my doubts about Freddy too, he has never batted or bowled as well as he did in the Ashes 2005, still maybe if he gets back in this series and plays well...

Personally I am pleased to see Stuart Broad doing well (again) a very promising player - and with a good Barmy chant "He's big, he's bad, he's better than his dad he's Stuart Broad, he's Stuart Broad (and repeat)". He looks very convincing playing some of those cover drives.

Anyhoo, enjoy your Sunday, can I suggest moseying on over to the Maggy arms to watch some of the cricket, and maybe sit on a bench outside in the evening sunlight drinking a pint?

I don't know how seriously anyone's considering Harmy at the moment, they just said that he's been doing well again in the counties recently. It looks like Freddie'll definitely be in for the next test through- as today's been panning out everyone's been saying that what we really need is a decent fast bowler.
Did think about watching the end of the day in the Maggy, but then I wouldn't get TMS- if we'd just been watching it today rather than listening to it we wouldn't have had discussions about Phil Tuffnell's fruit salad incident in NZ, whether mooning the batsman was an acceptable form of sledging, or what the TMS team's rockstar names are...
