Labor Dabor

Went down to LA again for the weekend, enjoying what was probably my first labor day weekend in nearly 4 years (i was always stratgeically put on call a sat, sun, mon effectively destroying a 3 day weekend.

I also went to disneyland for the first time ever, which is pretty normal considering i grew up in the midwest and spent most of my childhood going to disneyworld instead. After seeing the anaheim park, i realized that trying to compare the land and world was pretty much an apples n oranges thing, since one is an amusement park, and the other is closer to a small nation (bigger than the smallest countries in europe i think).

All in all the park layout was just like the Magic Kingdom in disneyworld so once i started wandering around, everything was very familiar. Still, since i hadn't been to disneyworld in nearly 10 years, i had a lot of fun going on old rides like pirates and the haunted mansion again.

A lot of ppl including myself thought i was stupid/insane for wanting to go there on the sat of labor day weekend, but because of one thing or another, didn't end up actually arriving til nightfall and stayed til closing, which worked out perfectly. There was no line at the ticket office and wait times in line lasted 20-30 min tops. Managed to hit most parts of the park including an after midnight ride of Space Mtn, omg i forgot how much fun that was. Maybe its because im older/bigger/heavier, those tight cornering Gs get to me a lot more than in the past.

Will definitely have to plan for a magic mtn trip in the fall.
