(no subject)
The air today smells like Gardenia's preparing to bloom. I think that sweet smell, while wandering around looking at beautiful houses in some older parts of town really had it's effect on me. Put me in a nostalgic sort of mood.
Today was good....The things I did
-Went to Target and bought things to spoil Gracie with, among a few essentials the apartment has been lacking (like toilet paper)
-7-11 for FREE my free 7.11 ounce Slurpee (Blueberry flavored)
-Went to the Schwinn shop and talked to the guys that work there for awhile. It is wonderful to meet kind people who like conversation.
-Cleaned the apartment, showered Gracie with some love (and a new outfit)
-Went to Grassroots. Ate Marakesh. Loved my tastebuds.
-Walked around the outskirts of downtown....found a house that had 1/2 as part of its street address....Decided I want to rent a old home after my lease is up....somewhere where I feel a sense of community and history.
-7-11 for FREE Slurpee #2 (Pina Colada flavored...sorry I neglected to photograph this cup)
-Spent the evening cleaning and reading The Indispensible Chomsky
I am happy right now, and hoping that happiness brings me good dreams. Tomorrow I get to see some family that I have not seen in like six years...then, I am going to head down to Dad's house with Eric and Melissa. I want to build sand castles with little letters trapped inside for the crabs that might decide to move in....and I want to let the salt water carry me to sea :) But it is likely I will return (this time), and write again soon.
