My only complaint with the original Thomas Crown is the horrible, HORRIBLE, OMG IT IS SO HORRIBLE I WANT TO KILL KITTENS theme song. But I love the 'lude induced split screen editing, only because it leads to such great parodies in films like OSS 117.

And honestly, I prefer the remake as well. It has more panache.

Yeah, like Sabrina I saw the remake first, and I tried to watch the original and just couldn't like it... The new one is more stylish AND more romantic, probably reflecting it's time just as much as the rather cynical 1968 version... so unsurprisingly I like the new one better.

Now that i've moved to boston I should probably try, since it's set here.

Okay, if you want to see a great comedy caper set in Boston, look no further than the fantastic Maiden Heist. I love that flick, and I wish it were better known/appreciated.

I had to google the brazilian chef part as I never saw that movie so I won't reply, but you definitely get bonus points for pairing the last names of the stars. :)
