Trying to find more work
I've taken steps to reintroduce myself to some of the managing editors/production editors I worked with and for over the years (30 years in the business), and only three of them seem to still be actively at their original jobs or at least at their publishing houses.
You guys on my FL who are authors or editors: PLEASE THROW ME AT THE PRODUCTION DEPTS OR AT YOUR EDITORS (editors can direct me to the correct production person) at the houses you work with. I need the work, plus I just plain miss copyediting and proofreading. It's in my blood. And I have the time -- lots of down time in this job at the bookstore!
