Shameless flogging ensues...

Oct 16, 2009 14:51

It's my birthday on October 21st.

This is a hard one. It's the last birthday before I turn half a century. Now I know why the Doctor feels old. :D

Seeing as every penny we can squeeze from our few clients goes to medicine, medical bills & insurance (yeah, buying your own? Not so much fun anymore), and the mortgage (albatross! albatross!) ... I have succumbed and set up a Wish List. Because otherwise, I ain't gettin' nuthin' for my birthday. ::pouts::

It is in the right-hand column of my LJ.

It links to an Amazon Universal Wish List, which means it pulls stuff from places other than Amazon.

In my case, my continuing obsession shows through with brilliant colors, and I am looking to (God, please, I pray!) get some of the Doctor (Ten and Nine) books. Because, boys and girls, they're going to disappear very fast now. They're not going to be printed anymore, not after Doctor #11 starts up.

I have flagged several books, the 2010 calendar (mmmm, DT goodness every month -- yes, pls), and a couple of the comic compilations (of the comics I never got to get from IDW).

I know there are a lot of the Ten books, in particular, that I probably should read, but I have no idea which ones they are.

Can you help out here, folks? If you know of some I should read that aren't on my Wish List, please feel free to let me know or ... you can always buy them for my birthday. ::sneaky eyes::

And with that, the shameless self-flogging of the date of my birth ends. I shall say no more of it. It isn't happening, right? I look like I'm in my thirties (no, really, I do -- it's kinda creepy sometimes, when 20-somethings flirt with me, and I'm their mother's age -- so I can just keep putting my fingers in my ears and saying, "lalalalala I can't hear you!" right?

N.B.: DW fic written for me is a great present too! Hint Hint Hint Hint

IT HAS BEEN POINTED OUT THAT AN ADDRESS IS NECESSARY FOR ORDERING AT THE BOOK DEPOSITORY (well, my address):

It is the address available at my business website -- www.windhaven.com (it's on every page, on the sidebar). Here's the whole scoop:
