I knew this would happen: because I couldn't get a code to join for love or money, before DW opened its door publicly today, someone else had already gotten the name "editrix" -- again.
So I'm stuck with "editrx" -- again.
Fuckin' hell.
Anyway. Yeah. There it is. If I ever get the energy up to actually find my friends there, because ghu only knows everyone else has gotten a more preferable (and therefore different) name on DW, I'll start adding people. But I have no idea if I'll ever find 'em.
Well, at least it's better than "batshitcrazylady," right?
ETA: What's crazy about this naming business is that because I was a very early adopter, and actually manager for many early sites, of web-usage-internet stuff, I used the moniker "Editrix" for so many years I can't even remember now where I first used it. Probably pre-web days, on Usenet. Then later on very early websites. It was here, on LJ, that I first ran into a problem of someone else using "editrix" and so I had to fall back on "editrx" -- it still grates, all these years later. I was there first, dammit. I used it so early, I still have accounts on ICQ (with a very early account number) as Editrix, and even date to beta'ing a little-known client on GNN as Editrix. Hell, I think my pre-hotmail account was Editrix. ::cry::
