Well, the "new prep" for my colonoscopy was Moviprep.
Without the emphasis on "move."
It stopped my entire motility and I just spent a pretty horrible day and a half in pain, bloated hugely, nauseated like I've not been for many years, and unable to get the stuff out of my system. The colonoscopy is, not surprising, not happening. Short story is: I'm off the hook for the next few years, as they not only didn't pay attention to my records while prescribing this particular scope prep (instead of the old stuff, which, yeah, you had to drink a lot more of, but which isn't contradindicated if you have motility problems, as I do!), but they wrongly had my father listed as dying of colon cancer. First of all my dad never had colon cancer, and he certainly didn't die of it. He had some polyps (all benign) show up in his 80s, and he went on and lived to 93, when he basically died due to his trophy wife from Sweden. (And no, get your mind out of the gutter -- she kept him bedridden and doped up on tranquilizers until he had the blood clot they kept warning her would happen if he didn't get out of bed, which is exactly what she wanted and sped up the process of her having to wait to get her hands on all his belongings, house, and insurance. How do I know? She was stupid enough to boast about it.)
So still on liquids but only because less than half of what should be passing out from that prep has, erm, passed. And I'm still bloated.
And now I have a sore throat, full of snot, and am clearly coming down with Elric's bronchitis.
Oh yes,
baron_elric has asthmatic bronchitis, and I'm slowly snorfling and wheezing now too. Of all the things he had to share...
Aw, bless.
