So yesterday started when I got home from work. Work was uneventful, it doesn't count. Getting the nice new memory I ordered for my PC, that counts.

And so I put the memory to one side and started to make some pasta and I decided to wash up. There were some things that needed washing up, including some glasses. Now the thing about glasses is that they break easily if you're not careful, and the thing about being in a hurry because you want to want to make pasta and install the new memory and see how it works is that you're not careful. In fact you might even be not careful enough to ram the side of your hand onto the corner of the glass you just broke.

So after I washed out the cut and made sure there wasn't any glass in there I put a towel on it and applied pressure and waited for it to stop bleeding, and after half an hour of covering my towel in blood and it still bleeding I decided to call NHS direct to see if there was anything else I should do. And so then I was a good boy and ordered a taxi to take me to A&E like I was told.

I didn't know there was a triage category 4. I thought it went Beyond Hope, Immediate Treatment Needed and Walking Wounded, but there were 5 categories so I guess that the NHS has a different system. And I got category 4, then I got looked at by a more senior nurse, then I got a coffee from the coffee machine and then I apologised to the nice doctor that in the hour and a half I'd been waiting and applying pressure it had all stopped bleeding and looked a bit pathetic. And the nice doctor was nice and put a few things called Seri-Strips on the cut so it didn't open and a bit of dressing in case it oozed, which it did a little, and then she gave me a tetanus shot and warned me my arm would be a bit sore.

The number 2 bus driver told me he went to the Carlton Arms, or at least I thought he did, he actually told me the Co-Op near the Golden Hind, which he explained after I nearly did the full circuit of Arbury and missed the showing of Whitechapel on ITV+1 which I'd promised to get for Pippa and didn't. But there was pasta at home and the bloody towel I'd left lying about and 2Gb of memory to install, which I did and then found my computer wouldn't turn on, at all. All in all it kind of sucked as a day did Yesterday.

The replacement PSU I installed tonight worked fine, but apparently I only have 3.25Gb rather than the 4Gb I was expecting. My arm isn't that sore and the cut isn't bleeding but the little card I got with the shot has boxes for follow up shots and I wasn't told anything about them.

So I guess what I'm asking is: Is my memory probably borked? can I do anything about this? and should I take my little card to my GP and ask if I should get more shots?

Oh, and what does triage category 4 mean?
