Something I've not done for a while. Food!
I'm still getting my angle skewed on this shot, I need to work on making the tripod more centred on the place (it's pretty damn centered on the counter as you can see). Also I suspect I got the exposure a little off on this one, I had to work pretty hard in post-processing to get the shadows right. Something to remember for later years.
Recipe:
Cut spring onions and ginger and garlic into strips.
Stuff half the onions and ginger into the trout.
Wrap trout in foil.
Boil potatoes for 20 minutes.
Steam trout on top of potatoes.
Meanwhile fry remaining ginger, onions and leeks a pan
Add a spoon of creme fraise with onions, ginger and leeks, cook until soft and creamy. Add ground pepper.
Get timing good enough that everything is ready at once.
Serve.
Was tasty, but probably a little too much ginger for my taste. Which is a hell of a lot too much ginger for most people's taste. Still, the ginger+trout+cream flavour was awesome and the potatoes made a nicely starchy complement :)
