Venting about my Sylvania HDTV
In early December, about two days before my one year warranty was up, my less than a year old Sylvania HDTV broke. I called Sylvania, they gave me the name of a local repair shop on their authorized warranty dealers who could repair it. I found my receipt and took my HDTV to that repair shop.
I called a couple weeks after that to check up, see what was wrong etc. The inverter board needed to be replaced. Ok, they'd call me when the part came in.
Every few weeks since December, I've called the repair shop, and they basically repeat that the part is on back order. GRRR. Gee, well sure, cause everyone needs to get their Piece of Shit Sylvania HDTVs fixed.
So today, almost six freaking months later, I call the repair shop again. Guess what? Part still has not arrived. While I'm polite to the repair shop customer service lady as always (it's not her fault), I express how freaking ridiculous this is and how I am getting in touch with Sylvania. I hope the repair shop is not fucking me over somehow, because if they are, I will first get my HDTV back in my hands, then heads are gonna roll.
I AM SO PISSED. Fuck you Sylvania. You're gonna get a call from me when I get home today in which I am polite to your customer service rep (it's not his or her fault) but yet express my anger tactfully about how much YOU SUCK.
This is a public post so hopefully it might show up in searches for Sylvania products. NEVER EVER BUY THEIR TVS. Heck, I'm never buying a single thing from them ever again, not even their light bulbs.
Also, Fuck You Capital One. My check was in the mail the first week of the month, with plenty of time for you to get it. I'll be calling your ass too, right after I transfer my remaining balance onto another card.
