Hi new friends! :)
I started this blog to keep in touch with a bunch of friends, and it's evolved into my sanity keeper really. :) I'm not a big social butterfly locally, so this is the best way for me to 'talk' to all my friends and meet new people.
The only day to day 'players' in my blog are probably me and my dogs. I'm still "young" so I just refer to myself as a crazy dog lady in training. *g* Sometimes I write about my family - mom, who's my best friend (don't tell her!) and we do lots together; dad, whom I got my sense of humor and bluntness from; and younger brother, who's a graphic artist. Most of my friends aren't physically near me, they're all over the place, so I don't see them enough to write about them. Since many of them here on LJ, I write to them. :)
My two miniature schnauzers are
Shakespeare and
Lacey. Shakespeare is a silly goofball sweetie pie. I've had him since he was a puppy and he is my baby boy. :) Lacey is a lovey sweetie pie lap slut (seriously, she'll sit in anyone's lap). She came to me in July of 2006 as a foster dog, and I just feel in love with her and thus adopted her. My doggies are like my kids, and I love to take them to dog events and share photos with everyone. :)
I also volunteer with schnauzer rescue; I foster, transport, do home checks, surrenders, adoptions, etc.
My tongue-sticking out girl is my angel
Sydney. I adopted her from the local shelter when she was around 9, and she was with me for four and a half years. She went to the bridge last September from numerous health problems, including heart disease. I miss her every day.
I'm open-minded, not easily offended, cynical, and hate drama (drama-free seems to be a theme to the friend-zys, but I guess I'm lucky cause I haven't run into drama here yet). I may not post deep thoughts a lot, but I love reading others' and reading about with others think of things in the world.
Yah, I rant about work sometimes but that's cause, well, who doesn't? *g* I try to cut it because it does get quite repetitive.
I try to balance out the introspective and ranty posts with some humor and cute doggy photos.
