Ok, writers of the world (but not YOU rdansky or sailormur or mthielbar. YOU know what you're doing) pay attention.

One does not "emcee" an event. On "MCs." One is an "MC." It stands for "master of ceremonies." "Emcee" is not really a word, but a phonetic spelling of MC. Yeah, I know that Webster's has "emcee" in it. That doesn't make it correct.

Also, one does not "deejay". You DJ. You are a DJ, not a deejay. See above. See same complaint about Webster's.
