Half-a-tram
I went on a shopping-mission to the Gyle Centre on 30th May, 2024. It was late afternoon by the time I'd trundled around Morrison's and procured various bits'n'pieces, and there was a large crowd waiting at the tram stop for a tram back to the city centre. I therefore deemed it expedient to get a tram to the airport, where I'd have a much greater chance of getting a seat for the journey back into town. While I was changing trams at the airport, I noticed this 'Tram Lounge' standing on the concourse at the end of the platforms. I believe it's the promotional tram mock-up that was displayed in Princes Street for a period before construction of the tramway began. It still appears to be in excellent condition more than ten years later and looks exactly like (half) a tram, apart from that it has no wheels.
