Dates Gone Amok

Sep 16, 2006 21:21

I have quickly gone through the existing books of the Bourne series: The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum by Robert Ludlum, as well as The Bourne Legacy by Eric van Lustbader, who inherited the rights to Jason Bourne and the other characters from the estate of Robert Ludlum. They, without a doubt, have become my all-time favorite fiction novels.

The Last Juror by John Grisham was not too bad, either. It was another quick read for me.

Before I thank my loyal readers for their comments, let me apologize for being gone so long. I vacationed for a fortnight in Florida, and from my adventures there, I will have 16 full days of highlights to issue forth from my handwritten journal's phrased notes. I hope to ration out the day's events there within the week.

Now pertaining to my last blog entry "Not Enough Sex" on August 8th I will take the time to express my gratitude to Jay jayca_3 for eliciting a helpful point-of-view from the situation; to Ashley B. for making light of an otherwise frustrating experience; to Jannan for appreciating the "fascinating and provocative" nature of my post; and to Beatrix, Ellie (linkfloydette), Ashley F. (finky84), John, Ryan, and last but not least Emi for empathizing with my futility.

I'm watching Real Time With Bill Maher at this moment; I wish he would invite Amy Goodman to his panel.

Well, I have gotten the closure that I had sought from Maria, and it could not have come at a better time. One day before I began packing for Florida, I received a parcel in the mail that contained both photo albums I had given to Maria, along with a letter. I had expected neither to see those albums again nor to hear from her, so I was happy for that reason. Suffice it to say that going to Florida and coming back would have been negated had I gotten the parcel upon my return -- if it had arrived one day later.

With her gone I have absolutely no reservations about putting myself back on the market. A fortnight ago I had the fortune of going on a date. All that happened was that she and I sat on a picnic bench across from one another while she talked to me, and I listened. And she brought her 3-year-old daughter along. Yahoo.

Another one of my friends had expressed to me her interest in possibly joining the military. After I referred her to a story issued by Democracy Now! concerning military recruiters sexually assaulting their recruits, I have not heard from her since. Sometimes I wonder how my foot gets in my mouth.

I have gotten back to exercising now that I have returned. Sadly, I have gained all the weight that I initially lost and gained 3 more pounds to boot. What a setback; it's as if the past 30 weeks never happened, and I have to take perhaps 30 more to get back to where I was -- more than a year in total wasted.

My debut music mix, "Primarily Penetrant," got finished by me on Thursday, 14 September 2006 ensuing a week of work. It contains 32 tracks and is just shy of 80 minutes long. However, the software I was using has given me trouble with converting it into individual mixed tracks in order to burn, copy, and send. Please let me know if you are interested in hearing it. In the meantime, I will continue to take steps to get it out.

Finally, I submitted my application for a library aide position yesterday. I have found out just now that I have been asked to interview on 2 separate days, so now the onus is on me to get back with the principal. For those of you who are interested, this is the job description:
