Help me out, dear LJ friends!
I have entered a blogging competition. I am hoping to win a $1000 scholarship as a result of my ability to pontificate. The site is called Progressive U, and the blog entries must all adhere to a few progressive principles, like broad prosperity, a better future, responsible government, etc.
What I need from you, my friends, is for you to bookmark this link to my blog and read it EVERY DAY! I get points for reads. I would also appreciate any promotion you might do for me, as well. Like, say, maybe tell your other LJ friends to read it too? And tell them to tell their friends?
I need the scholarship. I already have $13,000 in loans for my first year of graduate school. That's on top of what I had left from undergrad. And I'm going to be a teacher, which means my entire education will cost about three years' worth of salary. I know, we all have loans....in that case, did I mention that my blog might be interesting and/or entertaining? It may even be infuriating!
If you do become a loyal reader, please remember that I may sometimes be inflammatory in my postings, because those posts seem to get the most reads. But for the most part, I think I am one of the few level-headed people on there. Most of them are teenagers (which is a little embarrassing for me, as I feel very out of my league), and there's a faction of conservatives trying to hijack the site. Gotta play the game, you know?
