Alright, I've found a few moments to finally properly update this thing. Let's start.
So, I suppose the biggest piece of news in the past couple months is that I have a girlfriend. Met Jamie yeeeeeears back, when I was roleplaying with my old crew. We'd lost track of each other for about a year and a half, as no gaming had really gone on in that period of time (sad, really). As luck would have it, however, she worked at the head office of the gym I joined. My membership went through, and when her friend called to confirm my information she slipped me Jamie's phone number. Things just kinda... went from there.
It's working out pretty well, Jamie and I. Neither of us are looking for anything permanent; we're not really interested in a continuing relationship. We're just two old friends who are... enjoying each other's mutual company. Should something else come along, something more "real", we'll end what we're doing and be just friends again. Until then we'll continue doing our best rabbit impersonations. ;)
I'm starting up a new gaming campaign, as is Jamie. I'm going with Rifts, while she's going to be doing a D&D campaign. Should be fun; we're thinking of alternating Saturdays with our campaigns. I've got SUCH ideas... *evil grin*
My car continues to love the road, especially the highway. Gets great mileage.
I was seriously considering driving out to San Diego this year for Comic Con. Unfortunately my two cousins who were going to come with me flaked out on me, so that's not gonna happen. I'll probably end up driving either to Edmonton (for the West Edmonton Mall) or Minneapolis (for the Mall of America). Nothng like a couple days of mall-crawling some huge-ass malls on the week of your birthday to put a smile on your face.
Oh, yes! I've finally bought myself a couple new toys - a PS3 in the middle of the month, and an acoustic guitar just yesterday. Having fun with both, however I must admit I'm not getting much use out of the PS3. Not because the games aren't fun, it's just I'm finding I'm at Jamie's more often than I'm at home. And I'm not playing video games at Jamie's.
Well, that's pretty much my life in the past couple months. Hopefully I find a bit of time here and there to update a bit more often. I've read a couple books for the 50-books-in-a-year thing, but I know there's no way I'm gonna make it to there. I probably won't even make 25. I'll update with those books later.
