END OF YEAR FIC MEME; yeah. so please pretend that I'm not 2 days late.
My favorite story of this year: Rainbow coloured tears. I don’t know, when I scanned though all the fic I wrote this year, I just felt that I liked reading this the best. I think that it’s just Arashi, the essence of Arashi. It’s not the best, but I really like it. Honourable mention: Seven days to heaven
My best story this year: I’m a little torn between Voyager, and maybe till death do us part. I really enjoyed Voyager, because I just felt that it grasped a tiny bit of the Ohno/Nino in a realistic light.
Most fun story: The untitled Hamster AU of awesomeness. Because it’s just nonsensical crack, And I really did have tons of fun trying to picture Hamster!Arashi. Honourable Mention: The epic JE police force AU, A giant step for fanboys everywhere. because i am entirely unapologetic about ebikisu/arashi. /pimps
Most underappreciated story: Lol, so on what criteria should I decide this? I guess it would be Revolution Dance 8D
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: I guess it would be the art of letting go. It’s not an AU, and that was difficult because I had to put in more of the real them into the whole thing. And just exploring the possibilities and their emotions forced me to widen my perspectives a lot. And that was good, because It helped me with Voyager later in the year. Honourable mention: Bite the bitter sweet bullet, because it made me think a little harder. It may not have shown, but for me it was a tiny revelation.
Hardest fic to write: A life once lived. It took me ages to finish this, because I just wasn’t quite sure of how to do it. I had fun though, and it really was a step closer towards the Ohno/Aiba dynamic. But in the end, I really liked the result. The timeless series drained me tons and tons too. Because I just had problems expressing everything I wanted to.
Worst fic: Sparks that fly on a rainy day on night in Tokyo. I don’t even know, really. I don’t think it flowed properly at all. There wasn’t enough backstory, as though a whole chunk of fic that should have been there...wasn’t? Another one I’m really not satisfied with is Dirty little secret. Mainly because I don’t really even know what it’s really about. It just doesn’t resolve itself.
Easiest fic to write: Probably Arranged Marriages ; light hearted and mostly brainless. Also, the soulmate series flowed rather fast.
Fic I'd like to revise: Probably Sparks that fly on a rainy night in Tokyo, because just reading it annoys me, because it’s just not enough. Also, perhaps Harmony of December. I wasn’t too satisfied with it either.
Fic I didn't write but will at some point, I swear: WELL THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT A SHIP. I have a ton of Aus that are waiting to be finished. Right now though, I think that something that I really want to do is a War AU. I have a little written, but not much.
