I went to my friend's wedding on Friday. She's 24 and he's 25. She's a teacher and he's qualifying to be an actuary at Ernst & Young. She was my coursemate and he went to UCL. They now have a lovely house together in North London. The couple went on a week long honeymoon around Europe on a cruise. The wedding was held at a church near Tottenham Court Road and the reception, at Smollensky's on Charing Cross Road (next to Astoria, actually). There were speeches, greasy finger foods, champagnes, and live jazz music playingin the background all night.
Mrs Laura (formerly Stedman) Mee wore simple white gown with no shoulders and lovely veil. She just had her gorgeous long flowing hair as it always is. She looked absolutely stunning and she seemed so happy...Gareth (Gaz) made this most genuine speech that brought tears to people's eyes. Whoevever said getting married in mid-twenties is too soon obviously hasn't found their "one" yet. I was overwhelmed in happiness for her. She's the first one to go! I'm gripped with the idea of getting married now. I keep picking out different ideas and imagine where i'd have my wedding, reception, what the bridesmaids would wear etc.
Oh, and the Best Man was pretty damn cute and we talked for a while. He lives in Manchester...he was good with kids.
