Stolen from vernsrevenge:

"if ur religion in ur household was different than the one in mine, and we had different morals, is it ok for me to bust in to ur house and kill everyone inside and try to change way u think and live? president bush thinks it is..."

He makes a very good point.

Bush did not win the popular vote. Gore had the most votes, but the electoral college chose Bush regardless. Here are the totals:

Popular Vote:
Bush / Cheney: 50,456,062
Gore / Lieberman: 50,996,582

Electoral Vote:
Bush / Cheney: 271
Gore / Lieberman: 266

If you don't think these are correct numbers, or that I'm making this up, I'll even give you the source of my information. It's from the NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) website, which is the government's record-keepers.

I love America. Just because I don't like our president doesn't mean that I don't like the country and support it 100%. It's my constitutional right to not agree with what our leaders are doing.

P.S. Kinda makes you wonder why we even vote. I will vote when the time comes, but I know it's just in vain. We don't make the decision...the electoral college (who makes the ultimate decision) are not bound by any law or regulation that says our representatives have to vote for who we tell them to. The popular vote is SUPPOSED to influence the electoral vote, but it doesn't work that way.

REGARDLESS of the vote, he's still the President. I'd love to see you get up there and try and do his job.

No. Then America would be in trouble.

I take that back.

And yeah, it's your right. But that doesn't mean you have to voice it internationally.

I admit I would not be able to do it, but I'm 100% sure that are are alot of people who could do it better than Bush.

And since it IS my right, I can voice it however I want. I'm not voicing it "internationally", I'm just voicing it on my livejournal. If I had my own TV show that was syndicated world wide, then it would be internationally. But either way, I (as well as everyone else who lives in America) has the right to voice whatever they want however they want.
