Yoochun stared at the ceiling recklessly. His mind wandered to somewhere else and absolutely it was not on something that he didn’t know but to something that happened few minutes ago to be exact.
[Flashback]
He was walking out from his bedroom with a thick book in his hand when Changmin approached him. The younger man looked at him uncomfortably and this small of action of his made Yoochun to raise his brows in questions.
“Yes Changmin?” He asked softly to the man who had grown taller than him.
“Err…” Changmin started with a stutter. Yoochun noticed how Changmin’s fingers playing with the hem of his blue t-shirt, the one which Jaejoong bought for his birthday this year. “I… I’m going out.”
“Going out? That’s good! We hardly have time nowadays because of our packed schedule. You should treasure it.” Yoochun gave a wink before he continued walking to the living room, missing the dejected look on Changmin.
“I mean… I’m going out with someone, hyung.”
And yes, that stopped Yoochun in his track. He took his time before he turned his body and faced Changmin with his straight face. “Who is that person?”
Changmin gulped down his own saliva as he opened his mouth, “The name is Hye Sung. I met him a month ago. H-He looks fine.”
“Owh.”
“Eerr… Hyung, are you okay with it?”
A 1000 volt smile flashed for Changmin. “Of course I am, shouldn’t I?” Yoochun beamed, showing two rows of his pearly teeth. “Have fun then!” He shrugged his shoulders before he plopped down on the comfy couch which seemed not anymore.
“Is that so?” Changmin said with amazingly soft voice. He hung his head down as he sighed tiredly. “I guess, I should go then.”
“Yes you should, you don’t want to make him wait for you, right?”
A nod was what he received from Changmin before he heard the door was slammed closed, leaving him alone in their shared apartment as the other members went out to only they knew what their plans were.
[Flashback]
That was what made Yoochun like this.
Why did he feel that something was not right when he let Changmin went out of their apartment?
Why did his heart feel like it was stabbed by a knife when Changmin told him he was going out with this stranger?
Yoochun sighed. Why should he feel this way towards the youngest member of Dong Bang Shin Ki.
“Damn it!” Yoochun threw his pillows to the wall, trying to take the uneasiness off his heart. What did you do to me?!
Not fully registered in his mind, Yoochun grabbed his coat and put it on. He had to clear his mind. This thought about Changmin made him breathless. No! It wasn’t that, but the thought of Changmin, laughing, walking with someone intimately which made him in this misery.
He growled.
‘Isn’t this is your own fault, Park Yoochun? You’re the one who letting him go when you had the chance to make him stay just now? You’re a coward who afraid of rejection.’
Yoochun bit his lips hard until he could taste coppery in his mouth. Yes, what his mind told him was the truth. He was a coward, a chicken you could say.
He loves the youngest member of the band but he was too afraid the latter would reject him if he told him the truth feeling. And now, here he was, alone with his shattered heart and his ‘it’s not right’ phrase which kept playing in his mind.
