Getting started on Habbo: Habbo how-to-guide part 2
Hey guys, so I told you to watch out for my post some time today about getting started in the world of habbo. Here it is:
So you've decorated you room and you've dressed yourself up. Now what? The answer is simple. Start talking! There all kinds of different places to talk. The park, the mall, other people's room, pretty much everywhere you go, you can talk to other users of habbo. For new users who are eager to talk to anybody, the welcome lounge is the first place to go that has a regular stream of members. Here you can make new friends and in rare occasions, a boyfriend or girlfriend. Yes, you can get boyfriends and girlfriends on habbo. For those of you go are suddenly interested, more will be explained later on in the post. The welcome lounge can be found by clicking on the room icon in the main menu and clicking the official tab. The welcoming lounge is the first thing you should see. I recommend this place for the 12 year olds and the younger teens who aren't interested in reading dirty comments. I don't guarantee that the welcoming lounge is completely devoid of dirtiness but it is usually cleaner than the rest of habbo.
If you're the kind of person who thinks the welcoming lounge is pretty boring and lame, there are a whole variety of rooms to chat in. By clicking the room icon and clicking on the search tab, you can see a whole range of tags to choose from. Most of these tags are love and or dating related though but if you actually search without using the tags, you may find another kind of room.
Also, just for some of you, there are plenty of lesbian/gay rooms there too, so you can also find love on habbo, even if that love isn't serious or anything. There's also one other room or aspect I guess, that you might find interesting. Habbo adoption. Sounds weird right? Yeah well, basically its for people who want to role-play as someone's daughter or son or sister or brother or mum or dad.
The "parents" go to adoption rooms and ask other users if they could adopt that user. You can put yourself up for adoption as either a baby, a child or a teenager as in real life. Please note that if you are going to put yourself up for adoption as a baby, most users dress up in baby like costumes. If you have no idea what this looks like, search the adoption in the rooms section and you should a list of rooms specializing in adoption.
Go into one of these rooms and you get an overview over what babies look like. Teens dress in normal clothes. Also please note those who would like to adopt another habbo user. Most of the users looking to get adopted go for HC VIP and HC parents. Some ask normal users but most don't and so please don't be disappointed if people don't want to be adopted by you. Also, you should try together adopted first before looking to be adopted. Go get yourself adopted a couple of times and find out how it's done before adopting.
