My eyeballs, they bleed.

Seriously? White font on a bright red background? It's like they're actively trying to get people to NOT read their fic. I'm sorry dear fanfic writer, you could be the next freaking Shakespeare, but I'm not going to make my eyeballs bleed from your insane color scheme.

In some browsers you can use this to zap the colors no matter where the page is. If it weren't for the "zap colors" applet I would never read most fic.

I've seen them before, and I kinda hate to admit it, but I never could figure how to get them to work :) Those and mood themes: totally my downfall! These days I'm using firefox on a mac, and I don't think they're compatible anymore.

Would be sooo useful though-- there's still plenty of buffy fic out there that can only be found on black backgrounds.

I use zap colors in firefox on my mac. But I can't explain how they work other than I literally clicked and dragged the "zap colors" button to the bookmarks bar thingy and then when I click on it it gets rid of all the color. I am bad at explaining things. /o\

No, you totally are good at explaining things! I just did it! Years of failure solved by one comment -- I don't suppose you know the secret to installing mood themes that work? ~grin~

No idea, sorry! I have never tried.

Zap colors is just the MOST USEFUL THING EVER, I use it constantly, I am so glad you got it to work! \o/
