(
Oh! Umm.... umm.... hi? @__@ )
Uh... Well then. Didn't she feel sheepish. As she met with his gaze, she suddenly felt extremely stupid for suddenly approaching him that way. "Ummm.... I'm sorry! I didn't mean to assume or anything, but it's just that... well, it's kind of... ummm.... ummm..."
Yeah, he was pretty good-looking after all. And she sort of lost herself looking in his eyes for a short moment before recalling the big picture--that he had the towel wrapped around his waist. "Oh! Ummm...." She quickly knelt down, picked up the clothes, and handed them over, glancing at him before dropping her gaze at the floor.
Finally having gathered her bearings (sort of), she said, "M-my name is Iris, and you've just hatched from a cocoon in a place called Edensphere--err, th-this is just the room where most people are 'born', though. A-and most people j-just wake up after a weird dream a-and manage out of the cocoon only t-to realize that th-they don't remember anything at all... O-other than the dream, that is."
She continued to stare at the floor, wondering what he'd think of her explanation of this whole situation.

Well, at least she looked like that when she wasn't staring at him. He could deal with being stared at--what guy wouldn't be happy about a cute girl checking him out? It was the stuttering and shyness that made him worry.
He took the clothes and turned away, ignoring his still half-gooed condition to throw the clothing on as quickly as possible. He was still struggling to get the back of the shirt unstuck from his skin and falling right when he turned back around to face the girl--something about the generic no-color clothing, the way it didn't-quite-fit tickled his mind, but he had more important things to worry about.
Like what the fuck was going on?
And how to get Iris to stop looking like he was going to bite her or hit her or something. He wasn't that scary was he?
... He couldn't remember if he was.
Her words were peculating, but they didn't really make sense. "So let me get this right. This place is Edensphere, and I just... Hatched from a cocoon. And this is normal? The whole amnesia thing?" The memory of a scientist leaning over him with a needle--that had been in his dream.
Had it been a dream?
This all sounded like one giant science experiment.
"So no one knows what's going on?"
Definitely some science experiment. Like one of those social studies.
"Welcome to Wonderland." He muttered. "Don't eat the mushrooms."
No time to get pissed, girl was blushing and stuttering and examining the floor. He tried on an easy going smile, crooked at the edges, sort of roguish. "Hey, don't apologize. We're in the same boat, right?"

Then she presented the rest of the items to him. "Umm, here. You'll need th-these." She did her best to explain them as she handed them to the other. "A map, because you've just arrived here... Money, because you've got to start somewhere... and this journal." But Iris didn't hand him the journal straight away; instead, she opened it up before continuing, "It's not any normal journal--whatever you write in it, other people can see. It's a good communication device, really." She flipped through some of the earlier pages as an example before finally handing it over to him and then sighed in relief.
"So, ummm... I guess you're pretty much ready to go, then..."
Except she seemed to have forgotten that he hadn't yet chosen a name just yet.

Okay. Check. Weird as hell way to be welcomed into the world, but hey, he could roll with it. He didn't really have much choice, anyway.
"Okay." He hefted the journal, grinned at the girl. "Iris, right? So... Where do I go? Exactly? I mean, sorry if that's an obvious one, but I'm afraid I'm still sort of totally confused here. Any place I can wash this gunk off? And... What exactly do I do with myself?" He couldn't be mean to a girl, especially not one that painfully shy.

"Ah! Oh yeah--ummm, once you'll get outside, there'll be a guard who'll escort you to a temporary living place. There are open-stall bathrooms and showers there available for use. You'll only be allowed to stay in that place for three weeks, though. So during that time, you're better off finding a job... ummm.... There are lots of different people to talk to and places you might be able to find jobs, and when you get one, you'll be assigned to a different housing section."
It seemed like she'd covered the basics and gave herself a few firm nods before suddenly shaking her head in surprise and continuing, "Oh yeah! Ummm.... I just remembered. You'll need to choose a name for yourself since no one else will know what to call you. You had a dream before waking up, right? You could pick a name from there... or if not that, just something that feels right."
