Lee hadn't been to the Dojo in some time. He still hadn't quite figured out that one move, what it was he had managed to do that one time down in Tortuga, but that hadn't been at the top of his list of priorities. Not since before the kidnappings, once his true relationship between Gai-sensei had come out. Perhaps he should have vented his frustration through training, but one after another his life had slowly become more and more complex, and his training had been reduced to mindless, fatiguing, monotonous laps and other basics.

He needed to actually make some progress soon or he was going to explode ( ... )

Yamazaki heard the rapidly approaching footsteps as he neared the top of the stairs, and he turned his head to glance over his shoulder as they drew close. He stopped where he was as he took note of the fact that it was Spring running up to him, and regarded the other with a hint of inquisitiveness.

What Spring wanted with him, or why he'd sprint up the stairs apparently just to greet him, was beyond Yamazaki... but he was more than happy to act as though that awkward meeting in the Wilderness had never happened, and if Spring felt similarly, he supposed there was no reason for them to avoid each other.

He nodded in greeting. "Well enough," he answered. It wasn't a complete lie--he knew he'd fared better than many, lately. He continued walking then, silent for a few steps before speaking again.

"...You here to train?" He kept his tone sounding mildly disinterested, although truthfully... he had to admit to being curious as to what Spring was capable of while sober.

Spring certainly was more than happy to sweep that one awkward incident under the rug, though given his honest nature he might not manage to keep silent on the matter for too long. But if it's case they don't end up speaking about it Spring won't be complaining ( ... )

Huh. Ask a simple question... ah well. Yaamzaki couldn't say he truly minded much as Spring diverged off into the topic of his relationship with Gai. It wasn't any of Yamazaki's concern whatsoever how things were between the two of them, but if Spring felt like he had to talk about something, the subject was at least a tremendous improvement over their last meeting. Yamazaki said nothing in response, but nodded slightly just to show that he wasn't ignoring the other.

He, for one, had been somewhat surprised to hear that Spring and Gai weren't actually related; from what little he knew of them, they seemed so much alike. Almost uncannily so, at times. But, again, none of his business. He had no particular reason to care, after all.

Yamazaki returned Spring's glance as they arrived at their destination with an impassive one of his own. "...What sort of move?" He wasn't used to training with other people around; he hoped it wasn't anything too distracting, or anything that would get in his way.
