[BACKDATED] for he comes the human child

Summary: Throne is finally ready to tell Argent the whole truth (as much as he's learned, at least) behind this "changeling" thing.

Once he's finished picking the last specks of dinner of his plate, Argent places his fork and knife gently on the plate's edge and gets up, picking up Throne's dishes as well as he passes by and carrying them over to the sink. He looks distastefully at the dirty dishes and then unbuttons his cuffs, rolling them up to his elbows and running water into a basin, adding a little soap, dipping his fingers in to adjust to the temperature. As he does this, he twists his head around to look at Throne and makes a small frowning face. He has been making them for most of the night now, every time Throne looks like his thoughts are off somewhere else or, more disconcertingly, entirely focused on Argent.
KC disrupts this thread of open concern, though, by coming in, mewling and circling the kitchen floor, very surprised to not find any food for him anywhere. Argent sighs, with affection this time, and finds the tea-towel to wipe off the soapy dishwater and then picks KC up, looking him in the eye.
"I will find food for you then. Is that agreeable?" he asks and trots over to Throne. Still looking at KC, he adds, "And perhaps in the meantime, you shall keep this one company, as he seems out of sorts tonight." Argent shifts his gaze the slight distance between the kitten's weepy eyes and Throne's still slightly distracted ones and pushes KC gently into his hands before going to find his food in the ice-box.
