It is a glorious summer day on Gallifrey. The suns are high, and one hangs a little below the other in the orange sky; golden clouds drift past, creating occasional patches of partial shadow as they cover one sun or the other. The red grass waves and bows from time to time as the wind passes over it.
The day is cool, for all its apparent warmth--not the deep cold of winter, but rather the cool of a day in early spring after the snow has melted.
Fred is sitting in the shade of some trees whose leaves glint silver in the light of two suns, her back up against one silvery trunk. Nearby, but not too close, is a huge globe of glass, rising up from the ground like a strange mushroom; inside it, just visible at this distance and through the glare of the suns reflecting off the glass, is a city. Fred has her back to it. She is gazing off into the distance, as if waiting for something.
