Wellspring Attack

The night was interrupted with a bang.
From the southern part of Wellspring Island, an explosion launched a fireball of flames, smoke and earth, setting part of The Woods ablaze. As the camphor trees burned, the crackling of wood was almost drowned out an unholy sound of giant, monstrous things roaring in anger. Several large figures--maybe as many as a dozen but maybe less--could be spotted in the glow of the forest fire, moving south, away from the fire and from Medical.
On the north end of the island, there was a much subtler form of sabotage occurring. One minute the lights that lit up the walkway were on and then next they were off, plunging the walk way to the bridge in utter darkness. This was swiftly followed by the sound of ropes snapping, rapid fire almost like firecrackers. It was then followed by a gust of wind as one side of the bridge from Access point fell, cutting off the quickest path to the island.
A half hour after the first bridge fell, a second--the bridge between the bazaar and Wellspring--was also destroyed. By then the destruction on Wellspring was visible from all points of the sphere.
