Oh memories where'd you go?

There were many things that were inconvenient about fighting off a persistent head cold for the better part of a week and a half. Among those was the fact that certain forms of physical closeness and affection where generally less pleasant due to constant snuffling and a tendency to be mildly miserable, never mind the fact that one was a lot more likely to pass things along to a partner. As a whole, it just seemed best to put that sort of thing off for a better time.
However, now that Lyle had a clean bill of health and Stellaris had a sizable gap of time between a morning shift and an evening shift, it seemed wise to grab a bit of quality time while they could. And so they did.
Afterward, Lyle stretched languidly in bed before tucking his hands behind his head. He knew he would have to get presentable and head back down to the Yard soon, but it couldn't hurt to linger here a minute or two more. Giving into a sudden wave of drowsiness, he let his eyes slide shut for only a moment. Of course, in a place like Edensphere, a moment was all it took for everything to change.
