Summary: Intervention for a Paladin who has lost his marbles, apparently.
Probably he shouldn't have dumped that ink over his journal. Probably. He was distantly aware that it would only cause trouble--filling him with shame and fear and spiteful joy and bitter happiness.
He pushed it away from him, on the table, and rolled over on the couch. Probably he shouldn't sleep more. Probably it wouldn't come. He knew that, and all at once he wanted to never sleep again and sleep forever. The second option would certainly be much easier.
Sighing, he pulled one of the pillows over his head, until all the sunlight was blocked out. There--better. If sleep came, it would come easier, faster, now.
