Ben spent a good amount of every day in what could be termed prayer, communing with the Force. He often did this while walking, open-eyed but not consciously paying attention to what he was doing or where he was going. Maybe he was guided by the Force, maybe just his subconscious - either way, when he came back to himself he realized he was not far from the tea shop.

It had been graffitied since he'd last stopped by. There were the distorted "troll" faces, a sloppy rainbow, and - in spidery text, small enough that he had to come right up to within arm's length to read it - All things die, Anakin. Even stars die.His father's name. Ben rocked back on his heels, wondering. He'd mentioned the name early this morning, in the journals... Then again, that might be self-centered thinking. He had no idea if it was a common name or not ( ... )

Her eyes were squeezed shut against the light, but at the sound of that gentle voice, her muscles relaxed slightly. There was something...peaceful about that voice, but at the same time it seemed a little uncertain. Like her...

Someone came...?

Hesitantly, she opened her eyes again. It was less bright now, as her vision adjusted itself. Blurred colors swam around each other, then resolved themselves into the slant of a floor and the fingers of somebody's hand pressed against it.

"Hnn...?" she said, turning her face up to the circle of faces peering down at her, and peering around for the owner of that soothing voice.

He smiled, though there was concern in his eyes. His smile was a little broad - he wasn't really used to having a face again, and subtle expressions were trickier than they sounded.

When he spoke again, it was slowly, partly because he wasn't sure he was up to doing it more quickly. "Hi. Can you understand me? Are you hurt?" She didn't feel injured, physically - her sense resonated with a different kind of pain - but he wasn't sure. She didn't appear to be human, and he might be misreading her sense.

The world was settling into place, piece by piece, like birds coming in to roost one by one. She scrubbed at her eyes with the cuff of her sleeve and stared up at the face of the man speaking to her. He was smiling. Wholeheartedly, and it warmed something that had gone cold inside her.

"I...I understand you," she said, sitting up a little and curling her legs up under her, away from the puddle of wetness that she could feel seeping into her clothing. Taking stock, she felt damp and a little bruised, but the pain and terror of the - dream, was that all it had been? a dream? - were fading fast. "I don't think I'm hurt. Where is this?"
