It was moving and beeping, which suggested some sort of alarm system was in place. So perhaps this belonged to someone. The thought didn't trouble her, it simply encouraged her to make even more certain she was not spotted. There, up ahead, was the house. It was a juggling act of sorts, getting a key out and into the lock without dropping the wiggling machine, but she managed, and all without losing her hat.

The door was quickly shut behind them, and she set it down, very curious about what it would do now. Mona knelt in front of the door, studying the lights and noises. "Fascinating. The alarm is still going off. It could imply that there is indeed a controller somewhere who will soon be pursuing, or it is just a distress signal. Where do you come from?" It wasn't so much asking the machine as it was organizing her thoughts outloud. She tapped a gloved finger on her lips. "Perhaps a curio brought back from the Wilderness... except one would keep an eye on something as unique as this, I would think."

It occurred to her that she had no idea where she would keep the thing if it was always this noisy. Perhaps she should have thought of that beforehand. Oh well. It would come to her in time.
