It was Smoke's 3rd day looking like a preteen. The most obvious reason for why he wasn't happy about it had already come up that day: he ran into Cloud while trying to buy a pack of cigarettes. The second most obvious reason was the fact that he couldn't use his weapon and, as a result, couldn't go to work either. Which meant he was really, really bored and he was even starting to bother Suzy.
But that wasn't why he hated this. He really didn't want anyone else to see him like this, but more than that he hated just sitting around thinking about why he hated this.
So that's why he asked to go see Amurui, and why he didn't mind using the same opportunity to introduce Cephiro and Flame to Amurui. He trusted that they wouldn't make fun of him for it, or ask about it, or try to figure it out, or anything like that. They'd all be too busy figuring each other as new friends and siblings - he hoped.
And so Smoke waited by the elevator on the 2nd floor, looking for a young Flame and an older Cephiro.
