[semi closed] Berserkers, some Zombies and a Chibi

Summary: The fast zombies arrive and snap, snap, snap goes someone's sanity. Apple's just along for the ride.

Nobody ever talked about the dull side of a Zombie Invasion. It's always about the action, the struggle to survive and the trauma of seeing your loved ones mowed down by decomposing corpses. The reality is, in between the frantic bouts of fighting and general running for your lives-ness there are moments of sheer utter boredom, when nothing happens and you're still trapped inside of a smelly barn. Trapped and waiting. And waiting. And waiting. These moments are hellish but particularly so if you're 11 years old.
Although Apple wasn't about to complain to anyone he was bored, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion. He was sitting at one partially boarded up window, playing idling with some twine that he'd fashioned into a long loop so he could play cat's cradle with himself. Occasionally he peaked out the window to check for hoards of the undead but mostly he was focused on tying himself up in knots.
Bored knots. Oops. Tied his own wrists together again. Shuffle shuffle, untie. Retie. Untie.
Sigh.
