The girl screamed out a name he couldn’t hear as he was absorbed into the cold darkness. His throat constricted from the hold of the snake causing him to jerk and then claw at his neck where the creature should have been, but it wasn't there. Realization soon hit him that he wasn't choking at all and the darkness was actually rather warm... and gooey? Was that all a dream? A bitter taste coated his mouth from when he'd managed to swallow some of the goo while gasping for air. He gagged a little from the unpleasant sensation.

An attempt to lift his arm found it pinned against his body by another object that he couldn't quite identify on first contact. Cautiously, he pushed against the restraint and eventually managed to free it only to brush against... was that a hand? His brain started to put pieces together and it dawned on him that he was in fact not alone.

In his struggled attempt to push away from the other individual, he brushed up against the wall of their black prison only to have it suddenly disintegrate around them spilling them on to the ground in an awkwardly tangled mess of limbs.
