He should have been relaxing. Out and about. Enjoying the quietude in thoughtful contemplation.
And it was thanks to that thoughtful contemplation that he let himself be cloistered in with the cocoons. After all, someone had to watch them... and many of his fellow greeters were too busy making good use of their verdant reprieve. He'd grant them their relief... he was content to sit with his journal, as protective of it as always, turning its pages in expectation of something he never quite understood- and certainly never found- but no less often finding himself content with its contents.
That was his perennial problem, anyway. He never could stop all that thinking...
